Who is behind Recursive Records?

Roger was born, raised and has lived his whole live here – at Holbeach. When he was a young teenager he got fascinated with the music people were creating. Since then he has been buying any vinyl or CD he could find, from any genre and singer. After finishing school in 1980, he decided to open his own records shop with the sole purpose of giving the residents of Holbeach access to the many genres of music to enjoy them as much as he does.

Since online streaming services didn't exist back then, everyone knew, loved and valued Recursive Records. Not only for the vast music options Roger brought to them, but because he took the time to speak with each customer. He helped them find what they were looking for and remembered the taste in music of each one of them, when they visited the next time. He knows every detail and the history behind all albums and songs available at the store. And he is quick to tell you all about them too!

Since he can remember, Oliver has spent time at his father's shop every day, listening to music or 'helping' rearrange the many CDs and vinyls in the shop. Because of his love and appreciation for music and his father's shop he decided to stay and work with him.

He is known for being the best in at identifying and finding songs just by listening to them. Oliver can tell you the century during which a song was made and the continent, if not the country. He can quickly find it online and in a vinyl or CD format at the store and if they do not have it, which is a rare occasion, he orders it to be delivered.
